The clamp ARS M1 is an innovative development from ARS MACHINAE. It not only fulfills its task as a weight to press the record to the turntable. It also improves the sound with its integrated powder damper. The innovative damping using a heavy powder filling developed by ARS MACHINAE unfolds its effect on all drives suitable for it.


Even more successful together with the 8mm thick graphite turntable platter overlayer. Plate weight and platter overlayer complement each other perfectly through an interplay of rigidity and damping.

Turntable platter overlayer, individually available, made of graphite. Thickness: 0,31 inch. Special designs (deviating height, diameter, etc.) are possible. We'd love to create an offer for you about this.


Our turntable platter overlayer made of graphite is generally also available separately. It is an Ars Machinae development and made regionally in Germany. As a custom-made product, it can be manufactured individually in your desired thickness. For our turntable M1 we use the thickness 0,31 inch. It then has a weight of approx. 1,8 lbs.


The surface contour is pronounced concave in the center. Thus, it forms a solid union with the clamp. That together also dampens the record. This measure allows the cartridge to record the purest possible music signal.
